Luca Dalmonte, Acea Roma’s coach, explained, “The Final Eight is a competition in itself apart from the regular season. Obviously, in one in or out game, both your attitude and approach to the game have to be different, even playing against a team that you know. In this kind of game, you have to deny easy points. and limit fastbreaks and offensive rebounds. We need to pay close attention to our offensive balance, have a spirit of sacrifice to get into defense and the will to fight for each possession. We’re playing against a team that has the mental habit of winning. They’ve changed a lot of players, but what counts is the structure that accompanies them in these events; they’re used to this kind of situation. Siena is capable of doing a lot of things on pick and roll. they can change, contain and be aggressive. So, we’re going need to be able to read each of their tactical choices.”
