Tegba Othello Hunter Jr was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on May 28, 1986. His role on court is forward/center.

A product of Ohio State University, he plays 2006 for two season starting in 2006. In 2008, he plays Summer League with the Charlott Bobcats. The 2008/2009 season,  he participates in the NBA Championship wtih the Atlanta Hawks (with a brief stint in D-League with the Anaheim Arsenal). He plays Summer League 2009 with the Golden State Warriors, then begins the following NBA season with the Hawks, and stays through January. Hunter comes to the Greek Championship in 2010, and finishes the season with IlisiakosAtene. He participates in Las Vegas’ Summer League with the Denver Nuggets in 2010. The 2010/2011 brings him to Italy to wear Dinamo Sassari’s jersey (14.8 ppg, 7.8 rpg), but he remains only ones eason. He signs with the Shandong Lions in 2011, playing 31 games, with an average of 8.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. Azovmash Maiupol, one of The Ukraine’s top teams, signs him in February 2012. Hunter participates in Las Vegas’ Summer league that same year with the Charlotte Bobcats. Last season, he wore theBLancos de Rueda Valladolid jersey in the ACB (13.3ppg and6.8rpg) before moving to China to play for thel Jiangsu Tongxi (23.8ppg and 13.9rpg).
Hunter has a Liberian passport, which allows him to play as part of the cotonou agreement.
