Nikolaos Zizis was born on August 16, 1983 in Salonicco. His role on court is point guard.
Zisis begins his career in 1996 on roster for his home city, Salonicco. For the 2000/01 season, at only 17 years of age, he switches to AEK in Athens where he plays for five seasons and gains important experience both in the domestic league and Euroleague. The summer of 2005 brings Zisis to Benetton Treviso in Italy, where he plays for two seasons and wins the 2005/2206 Italian Championship. In 2007, Nikos Zisis accepts a substantial offer from CSKA Moscow and moves to Russia. During his two years there he earns two Russian titles and, in 2007/2008, his team becomes the European champion. His first season in the green-and-white jersey, he conquers the Supercoppa, followed by a Coppa Italia win, the club’s second ever, and the 2009/2010 National Title victory, which completes Montepaschi’s Italian Slam. The following season begins with a victory at the Supercoppa, followed by the Coppa Italia and Championship. On the European front, the team makes Euorleague’s Final Four in Barcelona and takes third place.The 2011/2012 season starts off with the win of the Italian Supercup
ZISIS AND THE NATIONALS – His experience in the Hellenic Nationals is also important: Zisis is Greece’s best shooter with an average of 10.6 points per game at the 2005 European championship in Serbia and Montenegro. Despite being so young, Zisis has managed to rack up a lot of time on his county’s national team, earning many honors and titles including the silver medal at the 2006 World Championship, and the gold medal and the 2005 European Championship and 2002 Under 20 European Championship, just to name a few. At the 2009 European, he wins the bronze medal together with the teamfrom his country. Two years later, in Lithuania, he finishes sixth(10.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 3.1 apg).
