20 - Shaun Andrew Stonerook

Shaun Andrew Stonerook was born on August 19, 1977 in Columbus, Ohio in the United States. His role on court is power forward.

Shaun Stonerook begins his basketball career at Westerville North High School in his hometown of Columbus. He later becomes one of the rocks on Ohio State University’s (1995-1997) and Ohio University’s teams (1997-2000). Stonerook closes his senior season with the Bobcats with 15.7ppg and 11.7rpg, and also earns an ideal spot in the starting five on All-Mac for 1999/2000. Despite having been chosen in the 2000 draft by the CBA (Connecticut #56), the IBL (Las Vegas #45) and the ABA (Tampa Bay #28), he decides to tempt his fate in Europe and signs with Racing Anversa for the 2000/2001 season. Shaun Stonerook becomes a Belgian championship star (he’s the best rebounder with 12.0rpg), one bright enough to be chosen for the All Star Game during the selection of the best foreign players. But he’s also an international protagonist, making a showing of 12.7ppg and 11.1rpg in the Saporta Cup.
The summer of 2001 brings him to Italy to play for Pallacanestro Cantù. Stonerook remains with them for the next four seasons, tangibly contributing to the Brianzan team throughout his stay. They win the 2003 Supercoppa Italiana and reach the 2002/2003 Coppa Italia finals. During the 2004/2005 season, Shaun Stonerook, now with Vertical Vision Cantù, plays in the Series championship and the ULEB Cup with statistics that render him a precious commodity on the basketball market. Mens Sana Basket assures his services by signing the player for the 2005/2006 season (during which time he acquires an Italian passport). Stonerook was reconfirmed for this season given his solid performance during the first year of competition Siena style. The  2006/2007 season places him in the role of leader of the Viale Sclavo team, as he becomes the new captain. With an infinite series of high quality performances he leads the team on to win the National title. A team pillar in 2007/2008 season as well he helps Montepaschi win the ITALY Supercup against Benetton, earn third place in Final Four in Madrid, the Italian Supercup 2008 and win his second personal “Scudetto”, Montepaschi Siena’s third. The green-and-white captain doesn’t let down his guard the following season either. The team had a 43 out of 44 game win record and achieved an Italian grand slam with the 2008 Supercoppa win against Air Avellino, the Coppa Italia win over Virtus Bologna (Final Eight MVP) and their fourth National Title win over Armani Jeans Milano. The 2009/2010 season kicks off with a Supercoppa win at PalaMensSana over Virtus Bologna. Then comes the second Coppa Italia and, along with it, a second personal acknowledgment as he receives the title of Finals MVP. The second Italian slam is accomplished with the 2009/2010 National Title victory. In October of 2010, the new season's first trophy arrives with the Supercoppa.
