Kristjan Kangur was born in Parnu, Estonia on October 23, 1982. He begins his professional career in 2000-2001 and plays with Tallinna Kalev for four years. With the team from Estonia, he wins the 2001 National Cup, and the national championship in 2002 and 2003. His first season there ends in 32 games and a 5.8 points per game average, and the second in 38 games and 3.4 points. The 2002-2003 he plays 40 games and averages 10.7 points. He ends his first experience with Kalev scoring an average of 15.7 in 21 games, and playing his best season. In 2004 , Kangur signs with the Bayer Giants Leverkusen, where he remains for two seasons (23 partite and 3.9 points first years, 30 games and 6.5 points the second). At the end of the second season at Leverkusen he returns to Estonia, to Kalev again, the team with whom in 3 years he wins 3 Estonian Cups (2006, 2007 and 2008) and another national championship (2009). He is named MVP of the Estionian Championship Finals in 2009, where he closes out with 12 points per game. In 2009, he switches to the French championship, to the ranks of Asvel Villeurbanne: 28 games played, 5.1 points per game and 2 rebounds in an average of 16 minutes of court time. His high is 17 points. In Euroleague, however, he plays an average of 15 minutes and scores an average of 6 points and 2 rebounds per game. In May 2010, he comes to Italy’s Virtus Bologna. With Canadian Solar, he totals 5 games with 7.6 points and a 90.9% mid-distance average, along with 100% on threes. He heads to Lombardy the following year to play for Cimberio Varese and remains for two seasons. He plays 32 games the first season and maintains an average of 9.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Last season, 2011/12, he scored an average of 10.9 points and 5.2 rebounds. He arrived in Siena in 2012/2013 season and in February he won the Italian Cup against his former team 74-77.
