Aleksandar Rasic was born in Sabac, Serbia on March 16, 1984.
Rasic develops his skills on FMP Zeleznik Belgrade’s youth teams, but his first professional team was Borac Cacak, where he stays a year and a half. That’s from 2003 until the middle of the 2004/05 season when he transfers to Reflex Belgrade. Rasic plays the two following seasons with FMP Zeleznik Belgrade, competing in the Uleb Cup. He plays 11 games with a 4.8 ppg average the first season, and a 10.8 ppg average the second, before switching to Efes Pilsen Istanbul. The summer of 2007, he signs with Dinamo Moscow, but stays only a few months because he heads to Alba Berlin in November 2007. Rasic returns to his home country the following year and signs with Partizan Belgrade. There, he even plays Euroleague (18 games and 7.1 ppg. avg.) with more or less the same numbers he’s able to maintain the next year with Partizan.
He switches to Turkey’s Trabzonspor the summer of 2010, but only stays a few months before moving to Lietuvos Rytas in Lithuania (11 Euroleague games with a 5.3 ppg. Avg.), the team where he also played the last championship, closing out with a 6.9 points per game average in the Lithuanian League.
He arrived in Siena in 2012/2013 and in February 2013 he won the Italian Cup.
