Jeleel Akindele was born in Lagos (Nigeria) the 4th April 1983. His role on parquet is Center.

Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he heads to Coastal Christian in Virginia Beach. He plays with Chicago State in 2003/2004, and is named the Mid-Central College Conference’s best defender in 2005. In 2005/2006, he switches to the D-League’s Fort Worth Flyers. He wins the 2006 regular season with the Texan team but loses in the finals to New Mexico’s Albuquerque Thunderbirds. In 2006/2007, he comes to Europe to play for Calpe Aguas in Spain’s second division, but returns to the Fort Worth Flyers in the D-League for the end of the season. He first plays with the Iowa Energy in the NBA Development League in 2007/2008, and then returns to Europe in December to play in the French Championship with Pau Orthez. During the summer of 2008, he competes with the Toronto Raptors in Las Vegas’ Summer League. The 2008/2009 season, he comes to Italy to play for Scavolini Spar Pesaro. The summer of 2009, he competes in Summer League with the Portland Trail Blazers. He’s with Spain’s Obraidoiro at the start of 2009/2010 before then switching to Rouen Basket in February. He started out the current season in Russia with BC Nizhny Novgorod. He also took part in the Nigerian Nationals from 2006 to 2009.
