David Admits “No Spark at the End”
3 February Press Release

One of Mens Sana’s best was David Cournooh, who had this to say after the game: ”Were weren’t very brilliant and Bologna caused us a lot of trouble. We knew that having changed coaches, they were going to play an aggressive game, and that’s what they did. We struggled harder first half, then at the end we were missing that spark to lock down the game.” The microphones then turn to Jeff Viggiano: “We practiced hard this week to solidify our one-o-one, where they know how to put a hurting on. But we really needed to be careful at the start, when we knew they’d attack with their physicality. They stopped us with excellent defense that we weren’t able to avoid. We mismanaged the ball a lot even though the game was pretty even and uncertain right to the finish. We’re still bitter about missing a few too many shots that could have helped us win.”
