Viggiano: “Hard to Win with Those Percentages and Turnovers”
3 February Press Release
Corriere di Siena
It wasn’t an easy game for Jeff Viggiano, who tried to make a contribution on what was an off night for all of Siena. After the game, explains, “We prepared for this game well aware of the possible dynamics. Our opponents just changed coaches and we wanted to do well right from the start. That’s why we should have done a good job at calmly and intelligently managing the game. We got in trouble with their defensive positioning and we needlessly turned over too many balls. And it’s hard to win with those shooting percentages. But we still stayed close in score. Walsh’s absent? He’s certainly one of their key players and his absence could have been a small advantage for us, but we simply headed on court to do our job. They proved they could do without him, at least this game. We need to work to be more consistent and sure of what we can do.”
