Montepaschi arrived in Greece this morning. The green-and-whites will hold a final practice this evening at Peace and Friendship Stadium in Athens where tomorrow at 8 pm they’ll play game one of the playoffs against Olimpiakos

Simone Pianigiani talks about the challenge this day before the match:

 

“When you make Euroleague’s Playoffs, you’re at a higher difficulty level, every game is extremely difficult. We play two away games. But getting to this point means you’ve overcome problems and shown the character to be able to play anywhere. Despite our injury problems, we’re going there to play our game against a team that has physical stature and experience in these kinds of matches – in these kinds of environments – and high level game organization.”
